Every week the specials reset, and most of what goes on sale has been on sale plenty of times before. Weekly Finds is about the other stuff: products that hardly ever get discounted. We dig through Szumark’s price history for Aldi, Chemist Warehouse, Coles, Priceline and Woolworths and pull out one genuinely rare deal from each.
This week there’s a cheese that’s almost never cheaper, two 50%-off beauty buys, a duster that’s at its lowest price ever, and a simmer sauce Aldi hasn’t stocked in a year.
Coles: Mil Lel Shaved Parmesan 170g – $5.20 (was $7.20)
Save 27%. This is only the third time we’ve seen Mil Lel Shaved Parmesan on special in nearly three years of tracking, and it’s on sale roughly 1% of the time. $5.20 matches the lowest price we’ve ever recorded. If you go through parmesan on pasta, salads or Caesar wraps, this is the week to stock up – it keeps well in the fridge.
Woolworths: Sabco Ultra Grab Microfibre Flexible Duster – $6.30 (was $9.00)
Save 30%. Not glamorous, but rare: this duster has only been discounted three times in about two years, and $6.30 is the lowest price we’ve ever seen for it. The bendable head gets into the top of ceiling fans, blinds and behind the TV unit – handy timing with spring cleaning season in full swing.
Aldi: Asia Specialities Butter Chicken Simmer Sauce with Spice Cap 360g – $3.49
Aldi works differently from the big two – its limited-run products appear for a short window and then vanish. This butter chicken simmer sauce, with its separate spice cap for a fresher finish, last showed up in September 2025. This is only its second appearance in over a year of tracking. If you liked it last time, grab a couple of jars before it disappears again. Korma and Rogan Josh versions are also back.
Chemist Warehouse: Natural Beauty Bamboo Cushion Hair Brush Large – $5.24 (was $10.49)
Half price. A bamboo-handled cushion brush that’s gentle on the scalp and a nice plastic-free swap. It’s only been on sale twice since we started tracking it, and $5.24 is its lowest price on record.
Priceline: Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lip Color Constantly Coral – $16.50 (was $33.00)
Half price. Revlon’s long-wear liquid lip colour in a bright summer coral, discounted only twice in the eight months we’ve tracked it. $16.50 is the lowest we’ve seen – a good one to pick up ahead of the silly season.
The bottom line
Five stores, five deals that don’t come around often – two of them at half price and three at all-time lows. Want to know whether something on your shopping list is actually a good deal? Search it on Szumark to see its full discount history.
